Arlette and Verlon met in 2012 on an online dating site, Christian Mingle. Verlon saw Arlette's profile and thought she was beautiful and liked what he read about her so he sent her a private message to see if she wanted to chat. They begin talking daily on skype over the coming months. Arlette recalls being immediately smitten with Verlon's exceptional good looks, and charming personality.

 

One day while in conversation, talking about something that had happened at work, Arlette said, "I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles". Something about the way she said it stole Verlon's heart and it was at that moment that he was captivated by her.

After a time of talking, they agreed that Verlon should come to Mexico and meet her and her family in person. It was in Puebla, Mexico air port where they met in person for the first time. After a visit to the States and many more skype chats, they were finally married on April, 06 of 2016 on the Lake Front in Mandeville, LA.
